Group urges Oshiomhole to withdraw hate speech against Ize-Iyamu

A pressure group, Ize-Iyamu campaign Network(ICN) has urged Adams Oshiomhole, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress to withdraw his hate speech against Candidate of the party in the September 19, 2020 Governorship election in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Members of the group took the decision at a zoom meeting by its members across the State on Friday.

This followed a threat by members of the group to withdraw their support from Ize-Iyamu, according to authoritative sources.

Members of Ize-Iyamu campaign Network, however agreed to write the former Governor of the State to either address a World Press Conference to either denounce his vilifying comments against Ize-Iyamu who was the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic party in the September 28, 2016 Governorship election in Edo State or face litigation.

Their predicament was blamed on the difficulties in convincing the electorate to accept Ize-Iyamu who is yet to be cleared by Oshiomhole who described him as untrustworthy politician compared to Governor Godwin Obaseki who is cut-out for the job of governance in the past.
