IKORODU, LAGOS-A body of poultry farmer, Mrs. Felicia G. Ekpoki, Kidnapped in her farm in Ikorodu Area of Lagos, has reportedly been recovered by local vigilante, just as her nephew and a worker, Nosa Ehigiator, narrowly escaped with a gunshot injury is in coma and currently receiving treatment for resuscitation at an undisclosed private clinic in Lagos.
An Eye witness, who gave detailed accounts of how the incident happened but failed to disclose her identity to crime reporters for fear of being killed, said that Felicia G .Ekpoki, was the owner of the poultry farm where she (source) and the nephew to the woman, Nosa Ehigiator, were doing menial jobs as labourers for livelihood.
She said that the kidnappers came with the pretense to come to buy eggs and in her usual characteristics, the woman whose resilience was to honour the visitors, stood up and as she was explaining the terms to them, they (kidnappers) abruptly brought out gun and started shooting sporadically and kidnapped her.
She further said that while the woman was being kidnapped, her nephew who was with her to bring the crates of eggs out in case they conform with the price, immediately escaped and in the process, the kidnappers opened gunshots on him severally but was able to escape with injury as he was running, he collapsed and entered into coma.
The source added that she too escaped as she was far from both her boss and her nephew when the assailants struck, stressing that it was about few days ago, the body of the said Felicia G. Ekpoki was found dead in Ikorodu in Lagos by the Local Vigilant, explaining that she said Nosa Ehigiator is still basking in euphoria of survival in the hospital but whether he would survive, had posed a threat, insisting that due to the END SARS protests which currently ravaged the country, it has become very difficult to bring in the police, as the police would not entertain any complaints from the public since many of the officers were brutalized and killed in the protests.
She pointed out that the sick mother of the said Nosa Ehigiator, who is also battling for survival from a terminal ailment, also fell into coma after hearing the news of her son brokered to her and was are apprehensive as the gunshot injury had created fear and doubt for the possibility of the survival of her son, arguing that this became the recurrent but latest kidnapping incident and other criminal activities which climaxed several kidnapping cases which had ravaged the areas for the past few weeks, stressing that those who perpetrated the havoc are still threatening to kill Nosa Ehigiator if he recovers and decided to come home, as the fear of revealing the identities of those that kidnapped and killed his madam in the process to the security agents for prosecution with criminal charges in the criminal court to serve as deterrent to others who might indulge in the act, especially in view of the ceaseless crimes and criminal activities being carried out on daily basis in the country, particularly in Benin City, Ekpoma in Edo State, Ondo State, Ikorodu, Mile 2, Egbeda,and ikotun in Lagos State, Ota, Ijebu Ode in Ogun State, Zamfara, Benue, Bayelsa, Ughelli in Delta, Katsina and Borno States among others which had become a den of criminals and a nightmare to the people.
